Materials & sourcing

Where our wood comes from and how we finish it.

Driftwood collected from shoreline

Driftwood sourcing

We gather wood that has already travelled the coast—washed up on beaches and coves. Nothing is cut from living trees. Each piece is chosen for its shape, texture and stability, then cleaned and dried slowly so it keeps its character.

Sustainability

Our process uses no harsh chemicals. We work with natural oils and waxes where a finish is needed, and leave many pieces with only a light sand so the grain and weathering stay visible. Packaging is minimal and recyclable.

Natural finishing

Finishes are chosen to protect the wood without changing its look. We use food-safe oils and beeswax where appropriate, and avoid stains so the natural tones of salt and sun remain the focus.

Selection of dried driftwood pieces

From beach to home

Every piece is inspected for strength and stability before it leaves the workshop. We document origin where possible so you know the story behind what you bring into your space.

We work with what the sea leaves behind—nothing more.

Quality and care

Drying and preparation take time. We do not rush the process, so each item is stable and suitable for indoor use. Larger pieces are checked for weight and balance before being offered.
